Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

• Email address collected through Clerk when you sign in.
• Content sources you add, such as URLs, RSS feeds, and topics.
• Generated episode audio stored in Azure Blob Storage.
• Usage data including credits used and episode count.
• Payment information is processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Generate your audio briefings and episodes.
• Send transactional emails (welcome, credit usage, cancellation warnings).
• Process billing through Stripe.
• Analyze usage patterns via Cloudflare Analytics and Google Analytics (GA4) to improve the service.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate PodAnchor:

• Stripe for payment processing.
• Google Cloud AI for text-to-speech and content synthesis. Episode text is sent to Google for processing.
• Cloudflare for CDN and analytics.
• Google Analytics for usage analytics.
• Azure for hosting and file storage.
• Clerk for authentication.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

4. Data Retention

• Episodes: stored until you delete them or your account is closed. Episode audio may be deleted 7 days after subscription cancellation.
• Account data: deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.
• Email: retained for transactional email history and deleted upon account deletion request.

5. Your Rights

You can request access to your data or request deletion by emailing support@podanchor.com.

If you are located in the European Union, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We are a small US-based team. Please contact us directly for any GDPR-related requests and we will do our best to accommodate them promptly.
